EARRINGS
Please check the dimensions we provide with each pair of earrings, and that the size is right for you.
RINGS
Correct sizing is essential. It’s notoriously difficult to get your exact finger size remotely. Your fingers will also shrink or expand depending on their temperature, for example.
There are several methods of sizing, listed in order of preference.
We suggest a visit to a local jeweller to be measured.
Please note Plenderleiths rings come in three widths; narrow, medium and wide. Please get measured with a similar width ring to the one you are ordering.
If you have a ring you know to be the right size, you can get it measured at your local jeweller or you can measure the ring’s diameter. Place your ring on top of a ruler or tape measure and measure the widest point, from the inner edges then round this up to the nearest millimetre.
We can also send you copper sizing rings to find your perfect fit. These are made in our workshop and lent to you.
Just give us an indication of the diameter (see second method) you think you are and we will send you sizing rings in a similar width to the ring you are purchasing. We suggest sending you three sizes.
When you have found the ring you want to purchase from us, simply pay £5 for each sizing ring around the diameter or size you have specified, we will then send the copper sizing rings to you. Once you have your correct size please post the copper rings back to us and the payment for each copper sizing ring will then be deducted once your order is placed.
BANGLES
As with rings, bangle sizing is important. Our bangles are all made to measure in any diameter from 59 -70mm. Most off-the-peg bangles will have a diameter of 65mm.
If you have a bangle that fits well, please tell us the inside diameter in mm.
To find your wrist size, use either a tape measure or a simple thread and a ruler. Once you have these, fold your wrist in a way that your thumb and the little finger come together. Hold that position while you measure along the widest part of your hand, just at the base of your thumb, with your tape measure or thread.
Simply send us the measurement you’ve made, preferably in centimetres. Average sizes are between 18 and 22cm.
NECKLACES
We list three different lengths for each necklace; 40cm, 45cm, 50cm. If you want a longer or shorter necklace, it’s not a problem as each one is made to order. Just measure the length you want with a piece of cord from end to end, the length should include the clasp and loop.
As our necklaces sometimes have uniform sized tubes, we will make your necklace closest to the nearest length that you order.
The price will vary according to the length you order. Contact us for a revised price based on your chosen non-standard length.
BRACELETS
The standard length for chain bracelets is 19cms. They can be ordered longer or shorter. Contact us for a revised price based on your chosen length.
